The chairlift from Borovets transported me to Yastrebets Peak, the starting point for the trek. As I disembarked from the chairlift, the crisp mountain air filled my lungs, and I was immediately enveloped by the serene beauty of my surroundings. I could feel a sense of anticipation building within me.
To be well-prepared for this thrilling endeavour, it’s crucial to understand the hike’s level of difficulty. The trail leading to Musala Peak is rated as moderate in terms of complexity. Covering approximately 7.5 kilometres (4.7 miles) each way, it features a total elevation gain of around 900 meters (2,950 feet).
